Obituary of Herman Miller

Herman J. "Herm" Miller, 92 a long time Little Falls resident, passed away on Saturday January 21, 2006 at the Eastern Star Nursing Home, Oriskany, NY. He was born January 9, 1914 in Little Falls the son of the late Adolph J. & Mary (Schmidt) Miller and was educated in Little Falls schools. His marriage to Freda E. Mosher took place on December 15, 1938 by Reverend C.F. Miller. The couple shared a blessed union of 63 years until the passing of Mrs. Miller on March 5, 2002. Mr. Miller was last employed at the Union Fork & Hoe Company in Frankfort. Herman was an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Little Falls where he had been sexton for many years. Survivors include his daughter Evelyn Blovat and her husband David of North Syracuse, his grandchildren, Susan Cole, Bryan Blovat and his wife Karen, Jeffrey Blovat and his wife Lisa, Stephen Blovat and his wife Lucy and Lisa Andrews, 11 great grandchildren, Michael & Nicholas Cole, Tyler, Jordan, Connor, David E., Heather, Katie and Kennedy Blovat, and Misha & Jacob Andrews, and several nieces, nephews, cousins & in-laws. He was pre-deceased by a grandson Christopher Cole, his brothers, Frank, Charles & Edward Miller, his sisters, Mary Reardon, Emma & Helen Miller and 2 infants brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 26, 2006 at 10:15 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY and at 11:00 am from the Christ Lutheran Church in Little Falls with Reverend Carl Evans, officiating. Spring burial will be in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Wednesday January 25, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. All memorial copntribution may be made to the Eastern Star Nursing Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff of the Eastern Star and his neighbors Paul and Gloria Terenzetti for the care shown to Herm over the years.
