Obituary of Anna Mocko

Anna (Bucala) Mocko of 87-16 Sutter Ave., Ozone Park, NY, formerly of 240 Loomis St., Little Falls, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday January 14, 2006 at the age of 94 at her home. She was born in Mijava, Austria - Hungary, presently Slovakia on March 6, 1911, the daughter of the late John & Anna (Duga) Bucala. After completing her educated in Benton Hall in Little Falls she married Samuel Mocko on February 11, 1934 at the Holy Trinity Evangelic Lutheran Church. She was a devoted and loving wife for 48 years, until her husband passed away in 1982. Mrs. Mocko was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Falls. She retired in 1967 from the Melrose, later the Allegro Shoe Company where she worked as a sewing machine operator. She is survived by her beloved sister, Elizabeth Hubbard and her husband Timothy of Ozone Park, with whom she resided with since 1991. She is also survived by her nephew and godson Janius Eyerman and wife Nellie and their two children, Georg and Tammy of Flanders, NJ, as well as a niece, Arlene Wolinski and husband Thad and their two children, Marc & Elizabeth of San Diego, Calif. She is also survived by her niece Allison Salisbury and husband Richard and their two children as well as a nephew John Bucala and his wife in Colorado, a nephew and godchild Steven Mocko and wife Cassie of Utica, a niece Monica Ortlieb and husband Richard of Dolgeville, and sister-in-law, Violet Bucala of Denver, Colorado. Her brother John Bucala pre-ceded her in death, at the age of 62. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 21, 2006 at 2:00 pm from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Evangelic Church in Little Falls with Reverend Carl Evans officiating. Spring burial will be in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY. Memorial contributions in Anna's memory may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
