Gladys L. (Deller) Moyer, age 93, of 23 W. North St., Ilion, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 2, 2006, at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare, Town of New Hartford. Gladys was born September 7, 1912 in Utica, daughter of Frederick and Helen (Seifried) Clausen. She attended Utica schools and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. She was united in marriage to Raymond Deller, a blessed union of 42 years until his passing in 1974. She later married Eric Moyer, he passed away in 1991. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Gladys's life was centered around her beloved family. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, knitting and crocheting. At one time she was a member of the Mohawk Valley General Hospital Guild, and enjoyed taking trips with the AARP. Survivors include two loving daughters and one son-in-law, Shirley Heiland of Ilion, and Linda Jones and her husband, Tim of Floyd; her cherished grandchildren, Leslie Bluett and her husband Kevin of Ilion, Lisa Bunch and her husband, James of W. Winfield, Allison Jones and her friend, Jodie Colon of Whitesboro, Michael Jones and his wife, Shelly of Oregon; five great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Bluett, Tyler and Joshua Bunch, and Stephanie Fyfe. She was predeceased by her grandson, Todd Jones in 2000; and her half sister, Frances Baumes. Gladys's funeral service will be held Monday, August 7, 2006, commencing at 11 a.m. at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion. Procession to Armory Hill Cemetery for interment will follow. Family and friends are invited to visitation, Sunday, August 6th, from 3-6 p.m. at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, Ilion.
