Obituary of Pamela Moynihan

Pamela J. "Pam" Moynihan, 41, of New York Street, passed away after a long illness on Sunday evening, August 13, 2006 in St. Elizabeth?s Medical Center, Utica. She was surrounded with the love and support of family and friends at the time of her passing. She was born on June 16, 1965 in Ilion, the daughter of David R. Moynihan of Mohawk and Susan Phillips of Mohawk and graduated with the Mohawk High School ?Class of 1983?. She was last employed with Herkimer Distribution as a group leader and was formerly employed with the P & C Grocery Store in Herkimer. Pam was a member of the Mohawk American Legion Auxiliary Unit 25 and the Mohawk Boy?s Soccer Booster Club. She was of the Catholic faith. Gifted with a generous and sympathetic heart, she was never more content than when she was helping and caring for her loved ones. She constantly proved herself to be unselfish, tireless, and dedicated in fulfilling the needs of others and adding to their happiness. Pam remained a woman of strong will and character even through all the tough times. In her spare time she enjoyed snowmobiling and was an avid New York Yankees fan. Pam was especially proud of her sons accomplishments in soccer and was very supportive of the team. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a dedicated mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Survivors include her beloved family; her son: Joshua D. Moynihan at home; her mother and step father: Susan Phillips and husband Robert of Mohawk; her father and step mother: David R. Moynihan and wife Kathleen also of Mohawk; a brother: David R. Moynihan II and wife Joanne of Ilion; two step brothers: Shawn McGraw of Ilion and Todd Phillips of Nantucket; a step sister: Amanda Phillips of Mohawk; two nieces: Nicole Moynihan and Emma McGraw; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Pam is also survived by many dear friends including Tim Crane of Litchfield and is survived by her special bunny"Fuzzzy". She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents: Lucy and Percy Bailey and paternal grandparents: Donal Moynihan and Florence Bailey. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main St., between Ilion and Frankfort, on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. Pam's funeral will commence at 11am on Thursday, Aug. 17, from the chapel of the funeral home with Father Anthony Barratt, pastor of the Annunciation Church, officiating. Procession will follow to Mohawk Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly consider memorial offerings to the Joshua Moynihan Education Fund.
