Obituary of Alba Pallaria

Alba G. Pallaria, 90 of Claxton Manor, 104 N. Washington St., and formerly of 403 Bellinger Ave., Herkimer, passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2006 at the Folts Home. She was born February 22, 1916 in Herkimer the daughter of the late Frank & Catherine (Cooker) Guzzo, and was a graduate of Herkimer High School. Alba was a life long resident of the village of Herkimer and also was a life time employee of the Herkimer County Clerk?s Office. Survivors include her son Richard Pallaria and wife Robin McClernon of Cochecton, NY, a daughter Janet Savaia and husband Charles of Dunnellon, Florida, 4 grandchildren, Lorraine Spence and husband Joseph, Peter Formato, Christian Savaia and wife Carrie, and Sarah McClernon, 2 great grandchildren, Sydney & Justin Spence and a sister-in-law; Ida Guzzo of Herkimer. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas Guzzo and a sister Eleanor Shields. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a prayer service at the Folts Home Chapel on Friday March 24, 2006 at 11:00 am with Reverend Mark Cunningham, pastor of St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer, and Reverend Arthur Miner, chaplain of the Folts Home, co-officiating. In keeping with the wishes of Alba, graveside services will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer and there are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer. In lieu of flowers, all memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Folts Foundation of the Folts Home. Envelopes are available at the Folts Home or the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home.
