Obituary of Walter Palmer

Walter K. Palmer, 62, of W. Monroe St., Little Falls, passed away on Saturday evening after doing what he loved, being surrounded by friends. He was born on September 20, 1943 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of the late Walter K. Palmer, Sr. and Alice Malone Palmer and graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1962, and furthered his education attending Herkimer County Community College. He was once united in marriage with Laura Lee Ackerman and was last employed with the Little Falls Department of Public Works. Walt was a communicant of Holy Family Parish in Little Falls. He was a member of the Little Falls Polish Club, Little Falls American Legion Post #31 and the Little Falls German Mannechor where he spent many happy times with his friends who he always thought of as his extended family. He was predeceased by his step-father Kazimier Roy and by his brother Richard Allan Palmer. Survivors include his children: Lance Palmer and wife Sarah of Pittsfield, Ma. and Toby Dye and husband David of Rochester; two brothers: Kenneth Palmer and wife Barb of Little Falls and James Palmer and wife Janet of Sparks, NV.; three grandchildren: Caroline Palmer, Collin and Teagan Dye. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins; an aunt: Catherine Walrath of Dolgeville an uncle: Edward Malone and wife Lois of Penn Yann, NY; and many special friends including: Donna Todd and husband Scott. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. Walter's funeral will commence at 10 am on Wednesday, May 17 from the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev.
