Obituary of Cecilia Paparella

Mrs. Cecelia H. (Zysk) Paparella, age 89, of Mohawk, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 14, 2006 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on November 25, 1916 in Remsen, the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Zysk and was educated in Remsen schools. On July 29, 1939, she was joined in marriage with Anthony J. Paparella in the Holy Trinity Church, Utica; a blessed union of 53 years until his passing on October 30, 1992. She was employed with the former Focus and Richards Dress Factories in Little Falls. She was a member of the International Garment Workers Union and a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Cecilia will be deeply missed by her entire family. Survivors include two sons and daughters in law: Donald and Peggy Paparella of Little Falls and Anthony and Mary Paparella of Mohawk; a brother: Henry Zysk and wife Norma of Remsen; a sister: Josephine Killian of New York Mills; sisters in law: Helen and Dee Zysk of Utica; grandchildren: Donald Paparella, Jr., Andrea Capasso, Leisa Intonte, Lori Paparella-Voorhees, Melinda Day and Matthew Day; great grandchildren: ShaeLeigh and Caleb Voorhees, Chantal Intonte, Anthony and Stephen Capasso, Devyn and Kellan Roorda and Rylee Regan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and inlaws. She was predeceased by brothers: John, Edward, Fred, Victor, Otto, and Andrew and by her sisters: Gladys, Marge and Ginger. In honoring Cecelia's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls, on Friday at 1 :00 p.m. with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor, and lifelong family friend, the Rev. Daniel Lanza, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Kindly consider memorial contributions to the Little Falls Hospital Development Fund. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the nurses and nurses aides on three east at Little Falls Hospital for their excellent care and also to Dr. Zelman for his professionalism during this difficult time.
