Obituary of William Resler

William G. ?Bill? Resler, 88, of St. Johnsville passed away on Thursday March 16, 2006 at Siegenthaler Center, New Hartford, with his loving family by his side. He was born November 24, 1917 in Little Falls, NY the son of the late Jacob & Christine (Mueller) Resler, and attended Little Falls High School and graduated from Utica Business School. His marriage to Elizabeth Davis took place on December 16, 1944 at St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville. Mr. Resler was a World War II Army veteran, enlisting on January 15, 1941 and was honorably discharged on August 20, 1945 with the rank of Master Sergeant. Bill was employed for the St. Johnsville Postal Service where he held the position of mail carrier. Bill was of the Lutheran Faith, and was a 55 year member of the St. Johnsville American Legion, a member of the Little Falls VFW and the St. Johnsville Masonic Lodge. An avid outdoorsman, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty, a son, Paul W. Resler and wife Judith of Minnesota, 3 daughters, Jean Ghosin and husband Charles of New Hartford, Barbara A. Coco and husband Raymond of Niskayuna, & Ellen R. Allen of St. Johnsville, 6 grandchildren, Jonathan Resler, Lynn Resler, Juli Mueller and husband Brandon, Paul Coco, Jeffrey Allen and wife Stephanie & Jennifer Allen, 1 great grandson, Jacob Mueller, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, & in-laws. He was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Beth Ann Coco and a sister, Ruth Mucica. Funeral services will be held on Sunday March 19, 2006 at 3:00 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. Spring interment will be in West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 pm until the time of the services. All memorial contributions may be made To S.AV.A.C, St. Johnsville American Legion or the Siegenthaler Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
