Obituary of Anthony Rich

Mr. Anthony J. "Tony" Rich, 88, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 in Little Falls Hospital. At the time of his passing he was surrounded with the love and support of his entire family. He was born on August 27, 1917 in Little Falls, a son of the late Andrew and Mary (Forcina) Rich and received his education in Little Falls schools. His marriage to Edith Tisi took place on February 23, 1946 in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. The couple enjoyed a blessed union of 59 years. Tony served his country during World War II with the United States Air force receiving an honorable discharge in January of 1949. His last employment was with General Electric where he held the position of Processor Technician. He was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Tony will be truly missed by his family. In his spare time he enjoyed working around the house and woodworking. Survivors include his beloved wife: Edith; seven children: Andrew Rich and wife Saundra of Tucson, Az., Anthony Rich and wife MaryAnn of Mayfield, Elena Rich of Athens, Karen Ruff and husband Gary of Herkimer, MaryBeth Raymond and husband James of Sacramento, Ca., Kathy Hudson and husband Scott of Prattsburg, and Steven Rich and wife Kelly of Canton, Ga.; a brother: Joseph Rich and wife Ann of Revere, Ma., a sister: Ursula Mastracco of Carmichael, Ca., his grandchildren: Andrea, Michelle, Tony, Jr., Jeremy, Alycia, Jamie, Johnathan, Jeffery, Sara, Erik, Laura, Lisa, Jennifer, Jason, Amanda Jo, Nathan, Stevi Marie, Ansley, Tanner, Revecca, Alyssa, great grandchildren: Andrew, Hannah, Emma, Tyler, Caitlyn, Darren, Mackenzie, William, Owen, Lynden, Alexandra, Samantha, Alex, Megan, Bryce, Kaden, Jacob, Reilly and Lucas; in laws: Mary Raiello of Little Falls, Ben Tisi and wife Fern of Little Falls and Nancy Coffin and husband Ed of Herkimer. He was predeceased by his son: Joseph Rich and by two brothers: John and Joseph Rich. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. Mr. Rich's funeral will commence on Sat., Jan. 14, at 10:15 am from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls where the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor, will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where he will be laid to rest. The family would like to offer their gratitude to the staff at Little Falls Hospital, especially the nurses on the third floor who offered constant consideration and compassion to Mr. Rich and his family and likewise the nurses and aides on the fourth floor who were equally as compassionate.
