Obituary of Milan Rohacek

Mr. Milan Rohacek, 80, a lifelong Little Falls resident, entered into eternal rest on Friday evening, Feb. 10, 2006 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. He was born on May 8, 1925 in Little Falls, the son of the late Martin and Anna (Pribish) Rohacek and was educated in Little Falls schools graduating with the Little Falls High School, "Class of 1944." He was united in Holy Matrimony to Florence Shamro in St. Paul's Unitarian Universalist Church, Little Falls on October 9, 1948. Milan was last employed by Remington Arms, Ilion and was a member of St. Paul's Unitarian Universalist Church. He was a member of the Universalist Men's, the church choir and the AARP. Milan loved country music and in his earlier years was a avid song writer. Survivors include his beloved family including his wife Florence of Little Falls; a son: Jeffry Rohacek and wife Terri of West Winfield; a daughter: Claudia Basile and husband Robert of Victor; his twin sister: Mildred Koziol and husband Stanley of Little Falls; a sister: Betty Povec of Little Falls; six grandchildren: Renata, Jonathan, Alex, Ashley, Stephen and Katelyn; many nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister: Anna Perkov and by his brother: John Rohacek. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, on Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. Milan's funeral will commence at 10:15 on Tuesday morning, Feb. 14, from the funeral home where prayer will be offered and 11 am from St. Paul's Unitarian Universalist Church, Albany St., Little Falls with the Rev. Kim Miner, pastor, officiating. He will be laid to rest in the spring in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls.
