Mrs. Elizabeth (Kutzuba) Smith, 83, of E. Spofford Ave., passed away on Sunday morning, April 16, 2006 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. She was born in New Hartford on May 4, 1922, the daughter of the late John and Sophia (Grandriel) Kutzuba and received her education in Dolgeville schools. She has been a lifelong resident of Salisbury Center. She married Kenneth Smith in Dolgeville on May 29, 1941. She was predeceased by her husband in 1967. She was last employed with McLaughlins in Dolgeville retiring in 1984 after 20 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Dolgeville. Survivors include her children: Sandra Bynon and significant other Dan of North Carolina, Christine Lamberson of Rochester, Brenda Lyon Smith and husband Albert of Little Falls, and Elaine Smith of Salisbury; a brother: Henry Kutzuba and wife Dorothy of Waterville; her grandchildren Nicole Bynon, Leah Bynon, Corinne Lamberson, David Lyon and wife Karen, Shannon Lyon, Justin Smith, Tracy Kenyon and husband Andy, Allen Lyon, Jennifer Hamby and husband Tracy and Melissa Lyon; also 11 great grand children many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial Mass of Christian Burial which will commence at 10 am on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, from St. Joseph's Church, N. Helmer Ave., Dolgeville, with the Rev. Leo Potvin, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Kindly consider memorial offerings in Elizabeth's name to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available in the vestibule of the church on Wednesday.
