Obituary of Anna Sribniak

Anna Sribniak, 88, of 7 Beck St., Fort Plain, passed away on Saturday October 7, 2006 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home after a long illness with her loving family by her side. She was born February 23, 1918 in the Ukraine and came to the US in May of 1950. Settling in Auriesville then moving to Fort Plain in 1956 residing there the remaining years of her life. She was married to Anton Sribniak who preceded her in death in January of 1978. Mrs. Sribniak was of the catholic faith, and was a former member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of St. Johnsville. With family as her foremost priority, Anna proved herself a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her leisure she enjoyed tending to her garden. This along with her family brought her great joy in her life. Survivors include her son, Jerry Sribniak and wife Carolyn of Hollywood, Florida; 3 daughters, Mary Conrad and husband David of Amsterdam, Ann Rice and husband Timothy J., Jr. of St. Johnsville, and Nancy Grimm and husband Stephen of Fort Plain; 7 grandchildren; Carrie Fisher & Jerry Sribniak, Shannon Brott & Tracy Lince, and Stephanie, Michael & Raelee Grimm; 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son Michael Sribniak. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 11, 2006 at 9:30 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY and at 10:00 am from St. Patrick?s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Tuesday October 10, 2006 from 5-7 pm. All memorial contributions may be made to Auriesville Shrine, 136 Shrine Road, Auriesville, NY 12016. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
