Obituary of Pearl Voorhees

Mrs. Pearl L. Voorhees 98 a resident of the Van Allen Nursing Home since July 2002 formerly of Parkside Courts Dolgeville, died Saturday evening July 29, 2006 at Van Allen?s. She was born on August 3, 1907 in Stratford, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Durrin) Youker and was educated in the Mallet Hill School. Pearl was first married to Mervin King who predeceased her many years ago. She then married Carl Voorhees in 1955. He also predeceased her in 1962. She was employed by area shoe companies for several years, including the Eastern Footwear Co. and the former Daniel Green Company both of Dolgeville. She was a member of the former Zion Lutheran church which is now the United Lutheran ? Presbyterian Church of Dolgeville, a former member of the Adirondack Senior Citizens, a Member and past officer of the Rebehakas Lodge and also a member a past officer of the Middleville Grange. She is survived by a Daughter Leona ?Lee? Young ? Lincoln of Little Falls, A Brother Leonard Youker of Stanton, Mich., a Sister Dorothy Stanley of Little Falls, her Grandchildren Kirk and his wife Diane Young of RD Little Falls, Maureen and her husband Ward Seeley of Little Falls, Russene and her husband Daniel Perry of Oppenheim, her Great Grandchildren David Collis Jr. Kim Mussmachaer, Theresa, Ward Seeley Jr., Heather Young and Ryan Young, 9 Great Great Grandchildren-Sarah, Hanna, Seth, Chloie, Charlie Rose, Christian, Ashland, Dalton and Aleeya. She was predeceased by her Brothers William and Carl Youker and her Sisters Edna Dunkle, Iva Mae Youker, Evelyn Rutkowski, Bertha Cool, Edna Adamko, and Margaret Weddle. Memorial services will be held Friday August 4th, 2006 at 4 PM in the United Lutheran ? Presbyterian Church on Faville Avenue Dolgeville. The Pastor rev. James Paulson will officiate. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in the Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Little Falls. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
