Rosemarie Williams, 67, formerly of 17 Charles St., Ilion, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006, at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, where she had been a resident since 1992. She was born on May 15, 1939, in Ilion, the daughter of Stanley and Alberta (Rose) Ruszala, attended Ilion schools and graduated from Utica School of Commerce. At one time, she was married to Noel Williams. Rosemarie was a clerical worker at National Auto Store, Ilion, for more than 20 years. Most recently she was employed at the Marcy Correctional Facility. Survivors include her very dear friend and companion Mike Thomas of Cedarville; her daughters, Patty Zaffarano and her husband Rick of West Sand Lake, Alicia SanMiguel and her husband Carlos of Great Falls, Mont., Sheila Williams and her companion Tom Gould of Hinckley; seven grandchildren, Melissa Byerwalters, Alesia Stickler, Sarah Zaffarano, Carlos, Kirsten, Debbie and Rachel SanMiguel; her great-grandson Caleb Stickler; her sister and brother-in-law Nance and David Hecox, of Ilion; her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Sharon Ruszala, of Herkimer; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Stanley Ruszala Jr., and her parents. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion, with the Rev. William Hill, pastor of the Albany Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Cedarville Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
