Mr. Roy Alton Adams 90 of 29 West State Street Dolgeville died Friday January 7, 2005 at Valley Health services in Herkimer. Mr. Adams was born in Boston, Mass on May 17, 1914 the son of Roy E. and Grace A. (Woodard) Adams and moved to the Dolgeville with his family at the age of seven. He was a graduate of Dolgeville High School and continued his education by graduating from Dartmouth College and receiving his MBA from Harvard University. Mr. Adams was employed by the American Felt Company of Greenwich, Conn. for over 50 years. His marriage to the former Lillian Cannon took place on November 18, 1939 in Dolgeville. Mrs. Adams predeceased him on November 1, 1999. He was of the Universalist Faith and he personally enjoyed reading and flower gardening. He is survived by his Nieces Pam and her husband Robert Denniston of Leesburg, Fla., and Nancy McClary of Belair, MD, a Great Niece Sarah McClary of Belair, MD. additional Nieces Doris Burney, Nadine Tedrowe, Adele Shepardson and Gail Cole. He was predeceased by a Brother John E. Adams in 1970. Graveside services will be held in the Spring in the Dolgeville Cemetery. There are No calling hours.
