Obituary of Clara Anderson

Clara N. (Claire) Anderson, 72 a long time Mohawk resident, passed away on Tuesday May 24, 2005 peacefully at her home after a long illness. She was born November 29, 1932 in Herkimer the daughter of the late Virgil & Susan (Troken) Price, and was a 1950 graduate of Mohawk High School. She was married to Walter (Lodge) Anderson of Little Falls, who passed away in 1985. Mrs. Anderson was last employed as a bookkeeper for Northrup Supply Corp. in Ilion, NY. Claire was of the Catholic faith. With family as her foremost priority, Clara proved herself a loving and caring mother and grandmother. In her leisure she enjoyed camping with her family. Survivors include 2 daughters; Shirley Pabes and husband Larry of Mohawk, & Beth Sadlon and husband Richard of Little Falls, a brother, Virgil Price and wife Jane of Ilion, 2 sisters, Florence Hext of Schuyler Lake, & Shirley Bouchard and husband Edward of Stratford, 7 cherished grandchildren, Brian Everson of Albany, David, Sara, and Steven Everson all of Mohawk, Natasha Sadlon of Yorktowne, Virginia & Jeff Sadlon of Little Falls, and Larry Pabes, Jr. of Mohawk, and several nieces, nephews & in-laws, and a special neighbor, Marty Dunckel and Judy of Mohawk. She was pre-deceased by a brother, George Price and a sister Betty Lawton. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 27, 2005 at 1:00 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main St., (between Ilion & Frankfort) 894-8000 with Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director of Blessed Sacrament Church of Mohawk, officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday May 27, 2005 from 11:00 am until the time of the services. Interment will be in Mohawk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make all memorial contributions to Hospice Cares, Inc. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to nurses, Doreen & Michele of Bassett Healthcare as well as her hospice nurses Vicki & Judy for the care and compassion shown to Claire and her family during her illness.
