Obituary of Betty Burke

Mrs. Betty J. (Hall) Burke, of 80 E. North St., (Prindle Apts.), a lifelong Ilion resident, passed away on Saturday morning, September 24, 2005 in Faxton/St. Luke's Healthcare, town of New Hartford, with the support of her family at her side. She was born on March 10, 1929 in Ilion, a daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Emrich) Hall and was educated in Ilion schools. Her marriage to Kenneth W. Burke took place on August 23, 1948 in the Ilion Methodist Church. He passed away on February 6, 2003. Betty was last employed by MDS where she was a data processor. She was of the Methodist Faith. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother she will be dearly missed by her loved ones. Survivors include four children: Karen Mansell and husband Bruce of Ca., Kimberly Falbo and husband Santo of Frankfort, Laurie Brisson and husband Daniel of Marcy and Lynne Golas and husband Kevin of Little Falls; two brothers: Donald Hall and wife Alice of Ilion and Douglas Hall and wife Joan of Maine; a sister: Etta Mroz; a brother in law: Walter Clements and wife Marie of Whitesboro; nine grandchildren: Bryan, Britton, Karli, Cory, Alyssa, Courtney, Heather, Kenny and Chad; three great grandchildren: Kayla, Blaise and Kieryn; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters: Arlene, Flora and Doris and by two brothers: Arthur and Pete. In respecting Betty's wishes, there are no public services. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at the home of Lynne and Kevin Golas, 602 Gun Club Rd., Little Falls. In lieu of floral offerings, kindly consider memorial offerings to the Little Falls Hospital Dialysis Unit. The family offers their deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Little Falls Hospital Dialysis Unit and also to the critical care staff of Faxton/St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford for all of their attentive concern. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street, between Ilion and Frankfort, (894-8000).
