Robert J. Caiola, 51, a Dolgeville native, who was residing in Coral Gables, Florida, died May 31, 2005, at South Miami Hospital, Miami, Florida, from complications of a kidney disorder. Bob was born in Little Falls, New York, on March 12, 1954. He was the son of Katherine (Kopp) Caiola of Dolgeville and the late Sam J. Caiola. He graduated from Dolgeville High School, Class of 1972. He furthered his education by graduating from Siena College in 1976 with a degree in Business Administration. His marriage to Christine Stiefel took place on December 27, 1980 at Pleasant View Lodge in Freehold, New York. Bob was Vice President of International Marketing for Stiefel Laboratories, Inc., in Coral Gables, Florida before retiring in 2004. Prior to moving to Coral Gables, he and his wife lived in Sydney, Australia for three years and in Singapore for 16 years. Bob was a Director on the board of the Transplant Foundation, and was a member of the American Association of Kidney Patients. He is survived by his wife Christine Stiefel of Coral Gables, Florida, his Mother Katherine Caiola of Dolgeville, his aunts Jane DeSimone of Utica and Rose Cacciatore of Frankfort, and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday June 6, 2005, at 11 AM at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue, Dolgeville. The Rev. James Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dolgeville Cemetery. Calling hours are on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
