Obituary of Calista Caldwell

Mrs. Calista B. Caldwell, 86, of Glen Iris Lane, Inlet, NY passed away peacefully Monday morning, July 4, 2005 at the home of her beloved son Bruce in Inlet. She was born August 7, 1918 in Utica, a daughter of the late George and Florence (Rodman) Baker and was educated in Utica Schools. She was married to the late Private Robert A. Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell predeceased her on September 1, 1944. He was killed in action in Germany during World War II. Mrs. Caldwell was employed at Play World Toy Shop, Utica, NY for more than 20 years, Wilcox Jewelers, Utica, NY for more than 25 years and lastly from the Inlet Chamber of Commerce, Inlet, NY retiring at the age of 80. She is survived by a son, Bruce L. Caldwell and his wife Evelyn; two granddaughters, Patricia Adams and Pamela Smith and her husband Bill; two great-grandsons, James and Isaiah; a sister-in-law, Helen Baker; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Dolph and Sam Baker; three sisters, Frances Jones, Marion Champ, and Jane Cornwall. Memorial services for Mrs. Caldwell will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY.
