Obituary of Patricia Casler

Mrs. Patricia J. (Dodge) Casler, 71, of Hobe Sound, FL, a Little Falls native, passed away on Saturday morning, January 7, 2005. Her passing occurred in Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida. She was born on October 14, 1933 in Little Falls, a daughter of William and Eleanora (Benton) Guiney. She was educated in Little Falls schools and received a bachelor's degree in Nursing. She was first married to Brian Dodge who passed away in July of 1966. She married Donald Buckbee who predeceased her and was later married to Edward Casler who passed away in 2003. She was employed for many years by Little Falls Hospital, was at one time employed by Herkimer County Public Nursing and was last employed as a nurse with Martin County Jail in Stuart, FL. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the St. Joseph's Church Soup Kitchen in Florida and was a member of the St. Christopher's Catholic Church, Hobe, FL., and the Retired Nurse's Association. Survivors include three children; Teresa Klippel of Little Falls, William Dodge and wife Charmaine of Little Falls, and Bob Dodge and special friend Sara Harris of Little Falls; stepchildren: David Buckbee and wife Liz of Little Falls and Donald Buckbee and fiance Melinda; eight beloved grandchildren: Mike, Samantha and Logan Dodge, Kristen and Kevin Klippel, Brian and Christopher Dodge and Jordan Buckbee; in laws, Nelson and Mary Hoke of Mohawk and Pat Guiney of Little Falls; a special niece, Jean Guiney of Little Falls and many cousins. Also surviving are many close friends in Little Falls and Florida. She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Guiney. The family invites relatives and friends to visitation at the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Monday, Jan. 17, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. Patricia's funeral will commence at 10:15 am on Tuesday morning, Jan. 18, from the chapel of the Enea Funeral Home and at 11 am from Holy Family Parish, (corner of E. Main and John Streets), Little Falls where the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor, will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the Little Falls Hospital Development Fund or the Little Falls High School Athletic Club. For your convenience, donations may be made at the funeral home and envelopes are also available. A loving and devoted woman, Patricia devoted herself to the well-being and happiness of her grandchildren. They were the foremost priority and the focus of her existence. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Her beloved canine companion, Buddy, always held a special place in her heart.
