Obituary of Rose Clark

Mrs. Rose Clark, 94, a resident of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home since January 2002 and formerly of 197 Park Road Town ofOppenheim, died there today January 21, 2005. Mrs. Clark was born on June 6, 1910 the daughter of Garrett and Rose (Moffit) O'Connor in New York City and was educated in schools there. Her marriage to Andrew Clark Jr. took place many years ago and he predeceased her in 1975. Rose was employed for many years at the Nelsons Laundry of Ft. Plain, retiring several years ago. She was of the Catholic Faith, and a former member of the Moose Club of Gloversville. She personally enjoyed the great outdoors, and all of its' wonders. Surviving her are her sons James H. and his wife June L. Clark of Dolgeville, David A. Clark formerly of Schuyler; her daughters Barbara and her husband William Knobloch of Ilion, Leona Smith and Jessie Ciani both of Ft. Plain; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; a special cousin Margaret Smith of Hurley, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her Brothers John and Pat O'Connor and her Sisters Bridget Gardinier, Kate and Kathleen Williams, her sons in law Harry Smith and Peter Ciani. Funeral services will be held Monday January 24,2005 at 10 AM at the Roberts -Buck Funeral Home, 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. The Rev. Leo F . Potvin of St. Joseph's Church will offer Prayer. Burial will be in the spring in the Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 3-5 PM. Memorials may be sent to the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home in her memory.
