Obituary of Carl Clark

Carl A. "Pat" Clark, age 81, a lifelong Little Falls resident passed away on Monday morning, August 1, 2005. He was born on March 17, 1924 in Little Falls, son of the late William R. and Emily (Bradley) Clark and was educated in Little Falls, graduating with the Little Falls High School, "Class of 1941." His marriage to the former Elsie Lamanna took place on May 26, 1946. The couple enjoyed a blessed and loving union of 59 years. Pat entered into military service with the United States Army on March 2, 1943 and was honorably discharged on February 6, 1946 holding the rank of corporal in the Battery B 517th Field Artillery Battalion. He was last employed with the United States Post Office where he was a mail carrier for many years, retiring in 1986. Prior to this position he was the assistant manager of the West End Grocery Store where he was employed for 20 years. Active in the community of Little Falls, he held memberships with the Little Falls Elk's Lodge #42 and the Decarlo Staffo Post #8. He was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. Pat found deep joy and lasting satisfaction in his family life. He was always attentive to his loved ones needs and supportive of them in every way. He was truly a gentleman and a great person. His personality and character provided the catalyst for the many meaningful memories which his loved ones will always cherish in their hearts. Survivors include: his wife Elsie, two daughters and sons in law, Maria L. Stegich and husband Alan of Leesburg, Va., Michele Marocco and husband Roger of Little Falls. His surviving grandchildren are Errin T. Stegich, Michael R. Marocco and Andrew C. Marocco. He is also survived by inlaws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 from 5- 8 p.m. Pat's funeral will commence at 10 am on Thursday morning, Aug. 4 from the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where he will be laid to rest. In lieu of floral tributes, kindly consider memorial offerings to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home and donations may be made there as well. Members of the Little Falls Elk's Lodge will gather on Wednesday evening at the funeral home at 6:30 p.m. to conduct their service and the Decarlo Staffo Post #8 will conduct a 5:30 p.m service.
