Mrs. Valerie Czarnecki, age 89, formerly of Rockton Plaza Apts., passed away on Tuesday evening, June 7, 2005. Her passing occurred in Valley Health Services, Herkimer, where she had been receiving exceptional care since August 13, 2004. She was born on February 14, 1916 in Poland Europe, the daughter of the late Francis and Agnes Bierka. She was educated in Poland and moved to the Little Falls area on Nov. 1, 1950. Her marriage to Joseph Czarnecki took place on May 23, 1945 in Germany. He passed away on May 20, 2002. Until her retirement in 1978, Valerie was employed at the former Allegro Shoe Factory for 27 years. She was of the Catholic Faith. Survivors include her daughter, Sonja Levi of Mohawk, four grandchildren: Jessica, Jared, Joshua and Jonah Levi. She was predeceased by her son in law: James Levi in 1991. In keeping with Mrs. Czarnecki's wishes, a prayer service will be held on Friday morning, June 10, 2005 at 10 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls with Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. Visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, will be on Thursday, June 9, 2005 from 4-7 p.m. It is Valerie's wish that all memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army or to Valley Health Services, Herkimer. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. The family is deeply grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Valley Health Services for the tender love and care provided to Mrs. Czarnecki.
