Obituary of Kathleen Delaney
Mrs. Kathleen (Gorman) Delaney, 54, of Little Falls passed away on Tuesday afternoon, February 22, 2005 in St. Peter's Hospital, Albany in the presence of her loving children. Her passing occurred after a long courageous battle with heart disease. Kathleen was born on August 29, 1950 a daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Sheridan)Gorman and received her education in Little Falls schools. Her marriage to Edward Delaney took place in 1988 in Little Falls. He passed away in 1998. Kathleen was of the Catholic Faith. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered by her family. As a loving and compassionate mother and grandmother, she was ever faithful and attentive to her family upon whom she bestowed her support and loving concern. Kathy will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature. She had the ability to listen to others without passing judgement which is why her friends and family came to her when they were in need of help. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and kept her family laughing right up until the end. Kathy was an incredible mom and grandma. She was especially close to her granddaughter Zoe, who adored her. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Survivors include four children; Lynn Brown and husband Randall of Little Falls, Michele Johns and husband Matthew of Camden, Michael and Malissa Delaney of Little Falls, two cherished grandchildren, Alec and Zoe Brown, a sister in law, Diane Gorman of Little Falls, three step children, Brian Delaney and wife Peg of Little Falls, Beth Regan and husband Denny of Little Falls, and Barb Atkinson and husband Dave of Ocala, FL. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Ted Gorman. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Friday morning, Feb. 25, 2005 from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM. A prayer service will be held at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10:00 AM from the funeral home and 10:30 AM from the Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls, with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany for their care and compassion. Services are under the guidance of Kathleen's son-in-law, Matthew F. Johns, Funeral Director.
