Obituary of Anna Foresta

Anna Angela (Pugia) Foresta, beloved mother of Dr. Francis Foresta (Linda), of Temecula, CA and Giovanna Foresta (Mrs. George Dimmer) of St. Clair Shores, MI, passed away on July 21st. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was born on April 28, 1908 in Herkimer, educated there and was employed at Derby Sportswear before relocating to Long Beach, Ca., enjoying many successful years there; residing near her son and his family. She returned to Michigan in early 1970. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph, a sister, Angela DePalma, three brothers: Edward, Ralph and Felix "Bill", and by a grandson: Kurt Klingbiel. The family invites relatives and friends to visitation at the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Monday, July 25, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. Anna's funeral will commence at 9:15 am on Tuesday, July 26 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered thence to Sts. Anthony and Joseph Church, S. Main St., Herkimer where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor, at 10 am. Procession will follow to Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer where she will be laid to rest. Kindly consider memorial offerings to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to Mother's Against Drunk Driving (M.A.D.D.). Anna was an exemplary family woman whose entire existence centered upon her loved ones. Deeply devoted to her children, she continued to bestow her unbounded love, guidance, and support upon each succeeding generation of the family in its turn, establishing with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren affectionate and close bonds. In summary, it can be said of Anna that all of her relationships with family and friends were nurtured and infused with the warmth and generosity of her loving heart.
