Obituary of Frank Frank

Mr. Frank Anthony Frank, of South San Francisco, Ca., passed away on December 15, 2005 after an extended illness. Frank was born on October 9, 1920 in Frankfort, son of the late Joseph and Maryrose Frank. Frank's early years were spent in the Frankfort area. Upon completion of high school, he went on to attend and graduate from Utica School of Commerce, majoring in accounting and finance. Following his graduation from Utica School of Commerce, Frank began and continued his financial career of over forty years as office manager with Wilson and Company Wholesale Meat Packers located throughout New York, Pennsylvania and California. He retired in 1982. On January 16, 1943, Frank joined in marriage with Kathryn F. Licari in the church of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel, Frankfort, with the Rev. Edward J. Hogan, officiating. The two shared over sixty two blessed years of marriage together, during which time, they resided in Frankfort, Binghamton, Pittsburgh and South San Francisco. Frank possessed a quiet and deliberate manner, a trustworthy and honest nature and a set of values, all of which combined to make him a reliable, devoted and loyal family man, as well as a loving "papa" to his two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Frank lived and loved home to the fullest, especially enjoying outdoor activities such as home gardening and landscaping while his favorite outdoor activity was playing golf especially at Pebble Beach. When not involved in outdoor activities Frank absorbed himself in refurbishing golf clubs in his home work shop which he referred to as his favorite hobby. Throughout the years, Frank was involved in various community and civic organizations. He was a longtime treasurer of the South San Francisco PAL Boosters and a volunteer blood donor at the Irwin Memorial Blood Bank for many years. He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Veronica's Church of South San Francisco serving as a lector and eucharistic minister. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn, a daughter and son in law: JoMarie and Ruwe Halsey of Riverside, Ct., grandchildren: Jason Halsey of Riverside, Ct., and Rebecca (Jeremy) Bowen of Plainwell, Mi., and great grandchild: Drayk Bowen of Plainwell, Mi. His survivors also include a sister: Julia M. Frank of Frankfort and a brother and sister in law: Dominick J. and Caroline A. Frank also of Frankfort; a brother in law: August Licari of Fl., several nieces, nephews and in laws. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his daughter: Rosalie Ann Frank, a son: Frank A. Frank, Jr.; a sister and brother in law: Carmella and Samuel T. Bono; a sister: Pauline F. Frank and a special nephew: "Donnie". Frank appreciated the many friends and acquaintances he was blessed with throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed everyone's friendship while living and respectfully requested to depart this world on a quiet and personal note. In keeping with Frank's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 4, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort. The Rev. John Yanas, Jr., pastor, will officiate. The family will receive friends in the vestibule of the church following the Mass. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in Holy Cross Cemetery, South San Francisco, Ca. The Frank family is being served locally by the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main Street between Frankfort and Ilion, (894-8000).
