William H. Haak, Jr., 84 of the Town of Oppenheim, passed away on Thursday March 17, 2005 at the Wells Nursing Home, Johnstown, NY. He was born December 17, 1920 in Little Falls the son of the late William H. & Heidi Haak, Sr. and was educated in Dolgeville schools. His marriage to Elizabeth Schrader took place on August 12, 1939 in Little Falls, NY. He was last employed with the New York State Department of Transportation, where he was a crane operator and mechanic. At one time he worked at Cherry-Burrell's in Little Falls and before that he worked for the Dolgeville School District as a bus driver and mechanic. Mr. Haak was of the Lutheran Faith. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth, a son William H. Haak, III of Dolgeville, 2 half brothers, 3 half sisters and a special friend, Cindy Samsa of St. Johnsville. Graveside services will be held at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY at a time and date to be announced. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville, NY.
