Obituary of Helen Holmberg

Mrs. Helen W. Holmberg, age 88 and a resident of the Baptist Health Nursing Center in Scotia and formerly of 381 Vley Rd. Scotia, died there on Wednesday October 26, 2005. She was born in the Town of Manheim on April 24, 1917 the daughter of Claude and Gertrude (Schiller) Galusha and was educated in school in Dolgeville. Her marriage to Carl Holmberg took place on March 7, 1942 in Ft. Plain, New York. Mrs. Holmberg was employed as the cafeteria manger for the Dolgeville Central School retiring from there in 1979 with thirty years of service. While a resident of Dolgeville Helen was an active member of the Baptist Church of Inghams Mills, where she served on several committees throughout the years. She personally enjoyed their camp at Pleasant Lake, not only the scenery but fishing as well. She had a loving and caring heart that was always there to help others. She and her husband moved to Scotia in 1985. She is survived by her husband Carl of 63 years; a daughter and her husband Claudia and David Montana of Lake George; and several Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by five Brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday October 29, 2005 at 11:30 AM at the Baptist Church in Inghams Mills, N.Y. The Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Calling hours are on Saturday morning from 9:30 until 11 AM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville.
