Mrs. Helen Hughes Hubbell 98 a resident of the Folts Home in Herkimer since December 2003, and a former South Main Street Resident of Dolgeville, Spruce Lake and Fairport, New York, died Sunday May 1, 2005 in Folts home. She was born on April 20, 1907 in Paines Hollow, the daughter of Francis A. and Floy E. (Doxstader) Lynch and was educated in rural schools. Her marriage to Frank P. Hughes took place on October 14, 1925. He predeceased her on June 11, 1976. Helen then married Gordon Hubbell on March 9, 1979 and he predeceased her on November 22, 1996. When she was married to Gordon, is the time that she spent at Spruce Lake and Fairport, New York. Helen was employed by the Daniel Green Company for many years, retiring several years ago. She was also a phone receptionist for the Roberts Funeral Home for many years before the local answering service began. Helen was a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Dolgeville and personally enjoyed sewing. She is survived by 4 Nieces Beverly Williams of Palmyra, NY, Sharon Lopez, Shirley Smathers and Alberta Beal all of California. Graveside services will be held on Saturday June 4, 2005 in the Salisbury Rural Cemetery at the convenice of the family. There are No calling Hours.
