Obituary of Marion Kaminski

Mrs. Marion G. "Mimi" (Harris) Kaminski, age 84, a resident of the Robinson Terrace Nursing Home, Stamford, a former Little Falls resident, passed away on Wednesday morning, July 6, 2005 in A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta. Mrs. Kaminski was born on October 20, 1920, a daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Wick) Harris and was educated in Little Falls Schools. On November 17, 1950, she was united in marriage with Kazimierz Kaminski in Little Falls. The couple enjoyed a blessed and loving union of 48 years until his passing on Aug. 17, 1999. Mrs. Kaminski was last employed by St. Mary's School as a cafeteria aide. She was very active in the community of Little Falls and was a member of the Auskerada-Maquaes-Rock City Chapter 204, Order of the Eastern Star, Rebakah Lodge, A.A.R.P., the Daughters of the American Revolution, Little Falls American Legion Auxiliary, and the Little Falls V.F.W. Auxiliary. One of Mrs. Kaminski's great patriotic contributions to the city of Little Falls was her dedication to the polls and voting. She served as a ballet attendant for over twenty years. She will be dearly missed by her family. Survivors include two sons, Mike Kaminski and his wife Dawn of Little Falls and James Robinson of Little Falls; one daughter, Marcia Kaminski and George Pitluga of Hobart; one brother, James "Squeak" Harris and his wife Betty of Little Falls, two sisters-in-law; Ann Harris of Little Falls and Barbara Harris of Ilion; five cherished grandchildren, Noel J. Kaminski, Julie Barretta, Jennifer Slabe and husband Brad, Jessica Bucenec and husband Steve, and Brenda Robinson; and many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings: Robert, Richard, John, Donald "Butch" Harris and Donna Grey and a great-granddaughter, Stevie Dawn Bucenec on May 19, 2005. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Sat. July 9, 2005 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. Funeral services for Mrs. Kaminski will commence at 10:15 a.m. on Sat. from the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11 a.m. at the Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer, where she will be laid to rest alongside to her husband. The family would like to invite relatives and friends to a luncheon at the Polish Community Club, West Main Street, Little Falls, following the services at the cemetery.
