Obituary of Mary Karla

Mrs. Mary E. Karla 81 of 18 Timmerman Street Dolgeville, died Tuesday January 18, 2005 in Bassett Hospital Cooperstown after an extended illness. She was born in Warthville, PA, on December 16, 1923 the daughter of Ernest and Alma (Hanenkrat) Wonderling and was educated in schools there. Her marriage to William Robert Karla took place on October 13, 1939 in Salisbury Center; the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Merle Brown. Mary was employed by the Dolgeville Central School system as a bus driver from 1957 until she retired in 1980. She was of the Baptist Faith, and personally enjoyed decorative painting on ?saw blades?, quilting and crocheting. She also enjoyed Mother Nature and loved to feed her animals. She is survived by her husband Bob of 65 years, a Son and his wife Robert J. and Norma Karla of Ilion, her Brothers James Wonderling of Horseheads, and William Wonderling of Wellsville, NY, A Sister Patricia Slade of Andover, NY, her Grandchildren Jodi Lynn and her husband Mark Arsenault and Sean Robert and his wife Jody Karla of Syracuse, her Great Grandsons Tyler and Kyle. She was predeceased by her Brothers Robert and Vincent and a Sister Arwilda Jones. Graveside services will be held in the Spring in the Dolgeville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
