Obituary of Robert Kaucher

Robert Joseph "Bob" Kaucher, age 57, a longtime Little Falls residnet and area business man, passed away on August 1, 2005 at the St. Luke's Home, town of New Hartford, after a long, courageous battle. He was born on June 27, 1948 in Little Falls, a son of Joseph Kaucher who passed away in 1989 and Audrey Violet (Butt) Kaucher of Little Falls. Bob was a graduate of Little Falls High School, "Class of 1966" and graduated from Mohawk Valley Community College in 1968. His last professional employment was with the Henderson Insurance Agency in Herkimer where he was an insurance agent and a real estate broker. He was previously employed by Mahoney and Mahoney for several years and prior to this position he held employment with Salada. He was of the Catholic Faith. At one time he was a member of Kiwanis International. Survivors include his devoted family including his mother: Audrey of Little Falls; two sons: Collin H. Kaucher and Ian R. Kaucher both of Newport; a daughter: Nicole Martin and husband Jeremy of Newport; a brother: Mark F. Kaucher of Rome; a grandson: Riley Synenki; a nephew: Kevin A. Kaucher and a niece Alicia M. Kaucher; aunts: Mary Gartner and husband Joseph, Dorothy George and husband Robert, Josephine Smith and husband James; an uncle: John Butt and wife Josephine of England and many cousins in Little Falls and England. The family will be present in the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls to receive relatives and friends on Tuesday (today), August 2, 2005 from 6- 8 p.m. Bob's funeral will commence at 11 am on Wednesday morning, Aug. 3, from the chapel of the funeral home with Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ, of Holy Family Parish, officiating. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery where he will be laid to rest. Kindly consider memorial offerings to the American Diabetes Association or to the St. Luke's Healthcare Dialysis Unit, envelopes are available at the funeral home. The family offers its sincere gratitude to all those individuals who offered endless support and encouragement during Bob's illness. Bob was gifted with a great strength of character, innate wisdom and a positive attitude using all of these qualities to get him through the tough times of his illness. He leaves a legacy that will be carried on by his loved ones that survive him. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting antique cars.
