Obituary of Antoinette LaPuma

Mrs. Antoinette "Annette" M. (Lamanna) LaPuma, 86, formerly of First Ave. and Manhattan Ave., Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, March 3, 2005 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on July 7, 1918 a daughter of the late Rocco A. and Concetta (Colangelo) Lamanna. On April 16, 1944, she was united in marriage with Anthony LaPuma. Throughout their 53-year union, the couple touched each others lives and extended their love to their entire family. Mr. LaPuma passed away on November 16, 1997. Annette was last employed with the Joy Taylor Dress Factory in Mohawk. She was a faithful communicant of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort and was devoted to her faith. She was a lifelong resident of Frankfort. Annette's family was her foremost priority and her greatest pride never failing to fulfill all of their needs with pride and dedication. As a grandmother, she enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and spent many wonderful times with them. Her personality was one that will be remembered by all, having only kind words to offer and always remaining a kind and gentle woman through it all. Annette enjoyed baking and cooking for family and friends and was a member of the Columbian Federation. Survivors include three loving daughters; Grace Strack and husband David of Parishville, Connie Zink and husband Jerome of Little Falls, Francine Keddell and husband Kenneth of Little Falls, brother in law, Robert Miller of Little Falls, five cherished grandchildren, Guinevere and Margaret Strack, Scott Zink and wife Jennifer, Jerome Zink and fiance Patricia Richards and Ann Marie Keddell; three adored great grandchildren, Brandon, Christian and Jordan. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Frank Lamanna and three sisters, Michalena, Christine and Anna. The family will be present in the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main St. between Frankfort and Ilion, (894-8000) this evening, March 4, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. Mrs. LaPuma's funeral will commence at 10:45 am on Saturday morning, March 5, from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 11:30 am from Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, where the Rev. John Yanas, Jr., will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial. She will be laid to rest with her husband this spring in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort.
