Mr. Robert J. "Bob" Lewis, of Herkimer, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, May 13, 2005 at his home in the town of Ohio. He was 57. He was born on November 15, 1947 in Utica the son of Laura (Weaver) Livermore of Utica and the late John F. Lewis. Bob was educated in Utica schools and attended Mohawk Valley Community College. His marriage to Patricia "Patt" Santucci took place on September 25, 1971 in St. Paul's Church, Whitesboro. Bob and his wife owned and operated Antiquity Press, Herkimer. He was an accomplished artist, and enjoyed spending time in his garden. The highlight of his martial arts career was when he received the Tai Chi 3rd degree brown belt from Bailey's Karate School in Herkimer. He also studied Wing Chun from Reyes Institute of Martial Arts in Utica. Bob had a special love for music and was a talented dancer, competing in dance competitions during his earlier years. He was very excited about learning the Buddhist Faith and was becoming very comfortable participating in mediation gatherings. He leaves his wife Patt of Herkimer; a son: Robert J. Lewis, Jr.; a daughter Chancy Williams and husband Rob, his mother: Laura Livermore of Utica; a grandson: Kai Andrew and many cousins. He was predeceased by his father: John F. Lewis in 1960 and his step father: Robert Livermore. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holleran & Enea Family Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Wednesday, May 18 th 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Bob's funeral will commence at 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening from the chapel of the funeral home.
