Obituary of James Lore
Mr. James S. Lore, age 67, a lifelong Frankfort resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 12, 2005 in HCR Manor Care Nursing Home, Lebanon, Pa. He was born on October 18, 1938 in Frankfort, son of the late Alfonzo and Josephine (Sgroi) Lore and was educated in Frankfort schools. On May 21, 1960, he was united in marriage with the former Arlene Halkovitch in St. Mary's Church, Frankfort, a blessed union of 45 years. The couple moved to North Carolina in 2000 then Pennsylvania this past year. For many years, Jim owned and operated Lore's Supermarket in Frankfort. His last professional employment was with Pacific Care, California where he was a purchasing manager. He was of the Catholic Faith. In Jim's earlier years he was a very talented athlete and was a member of the Frankfort Falcon's Semi-Pro Football Team. In his spare time he enjoyed watching the horses. He was a loving family man and will be dearly missed by family and friends. Survivors include his beloved wife Arlene of Cleona, PA., two sons: James Lore and fiance Johnna of Annville, PA., and Steven Lore of Rochester; a daughter: Vickie Cantamessa of Sleepy Hollow, NY; two sisters: Gracie Dudeck and husband Matt of Frankfort and Mary DeLuke also of Frankfort; two grandchildren: Danny and David Cantamessa; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister and brother in law: Josephine and Bob Gillette; a brother and sister in law: Samuel and Cora Lore and a brother in law: Robert Marco DeLuke. The family invites relatives and friends to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main St. between Frankfort and Ilion, (894-8000) on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9. Mr. Lore's funeral will commence at 9:15 am on Wed. morning, June 15, from the chapel of the funeral home and at 10:00 am from Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas, Jr., pastor. Committal service will be held in All Souls' Chapel (Mt. Olivet Cemetery), Frankfort. Kindly consider having a Mass said at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Jim's memory.
