Obituary of Leslie Lussier

Leslie Ferris Lussier, 61, of Iverness, Florida, a former Dolgeville resident, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Les was born in Little Falls, on Sept. 3, 1943, the son of George A. Lussier of Little Falls and the late Mildred C. (LaBlanc) Lussier. Ht1was a graduate of Dolgeville Central School and continued his education by attending Utica College for computer engineer. He was also a certified electrician. While a resident of Dolgeville, he was employed by Mohawk Data Science from 1968 until 1987 leaving there he went to work for Par Technology from 1987-2002. His work took him all over the world, to trouble shoot and fix computers for the company. Les also followed a dream of his by owning a hardware business. His sense of adventure led him to enjoy drag racing, a love for bowling, boating, waterskiing, scuba diving, motorcycling and his favorite sport, fishing. His hobby of woodworking and being a carpenter was a large part of his life. He took great pride in his finished work. He is survived by his father, George Lussier of Little Falls; his three sons, Allen, Shawn and Jeffrey, all of Nevada; his sisters and their families, Elizabeth "Betty" Spoor of Dolgeville and her Children, Lisa Carrigan and family, Kimberly Spoor and family, and Tiffani Spoor; his sister Marie Ortleib of Dolgeville and her families, Michelle Ortlieb of Dolgeville, and Michael and Estella Portlier of Herkimer; his companion Glenda Rankirl of Florida; and his faithful companion, Watson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10th at 11:30 a.m. at the Roberts and Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville. Rev. Leo F. Potvin, pastor of St. Joseph's Church will offer prayer. Calling hours are from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Les may be remembered with memorials to either the Hospice of Citrus Co., Inc., P.O. Box 64270, Beverly Hills, Fla., or to the H.
