Obituary of Anne Malek

Anne Y. Malek, 89 passed away October 15, 2005 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born February 11, 1916 in Columbus, Ohio to Samuel & Anastasia (Zayatz) Yavorntzki. She was raised in Herkimer and graduated from Herkimer High School, class of 1934. Anne was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Falls and had worked at various factories in the food and clothing industries, including Salada Foods for over 15 years. She enjoyed traveling all over the U.S. with her military husband, Stefan, whom she married on December 28, 1940. After the war they returned to Little Falls until 1973. They moved to Clifton Park, then to Owensboro, KY in 1981, where they retired. They moved to Colorado Springs in 2003. She is survived by her husband Stefan, her sons, Paul & Patricia (Kule) Malek, and Stefan Malek, Jr.; her grandchildren, Catherine, Andrew Jeffrey and Krista; a sister Helen Stasco and a brother, Steven & Eleanor Yavorntzki. Funeral services will be held on Monday October 24, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Little Falls, with Reverend Carl Evans, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY. All memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church or to the American Red Cross. Envelopes will be available at the Church.
