Obituary of Marion Malone
Mrs. Marion A. (Lynch) Malone, 82, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Sunday morning, March 13, 2005 in Little Falls Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born on November 13, 1922 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Maurice and Catherine (Lucey) Lynch and was educated in St. Mary's Academy, graduating with the "class of 1940". She was joined in marriage with Walter J. Malone on January 25, 1947 in St. Mary's Church, Little Falls with her uncle, the Rev. Thomas Lynch, officiating, a blessed union of 47 years until his passing in 1994. She spent many years taking care of her family and her home and will be deeply missed by her loved ones. Marion was a faithful, lifelong communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls and the Rosary Society. She served on the board of directors of Little Falls Hospital at one time. For over 50 years, she enjoyed her Wednesday bridge club, playing with her friends, Doris Burney, Mary Irving and Jane Murray. Survivors include seven children: James Malone and wife Karen of Little Falls, Thomas Malone and wife Karen of Fairbanks, Alaska, Joseph Malone and wife Gloria of Herkimer, Francis Malone of Liverpool, Mary Reynolds of Harwich, Ma., Catherine Scherzer and husband Gary of Woodgate and Monica Wisniewski and husband Dennis of Cicero; a sister in law: Mary Malone of Webster, NY; fourteen cherished grandchildren: Kevin Malone, Brian Malone and wife Meghan, Michael Malone, Susan and Matthew Troha, Shane, Makeag, Taige and Meghan Malone, Cathleen and James Boyer, Joseph and Colleen Malone and Sara and Emily Wisniewski; an adored great granddaughter: Kelly Boyer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers: J. Robert Lynch and Charles Lynch. Family and friends are invited to visitation at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Monday (today), March 14, 2005 from 5-8 p.m. Mrs. Malone's funeral will commence at 11:15 am on Tuesday, March 15, from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered thence to Holy Family Parish, Little Falls where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. by the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor. Procession will follow to St. Mary's Cemetery where she will be laid to rest in the family plot.
