Obituary of Mary McCall

Mary A. McCall, age 81, of 410 Otsego St., Ilion, passed away on Monday morning, July 4, 2005 in Valley Health Services, Herkimer. She was born on June 22, 1924 in Ilion a daughter of the late William and Frances (Fullem) McCall and received a master's degree from St. Rose University, Albany and was a teacher in the Utica Central School District for many years. Mary was a member of the New York State Teachers Assoc., the Third Order of the Discalced Carmelites and was a parishioner of Annunciation Church., Ilion. Survivors include nieces and nephews; Joseph Urtz of Watervliet, Karen Urtz of Ilion, Kevin Urtz and wife Frances and their sons, Brian and Mark of Upland, CA., Ronald Urtz and wife Karen and their sons, Jon, Jesse and Joseph of Ilion, Suzanne U. Getman and husband G. Stephen Getman of Ilion, Katherine Morris and husband Michael and their children: Elizabeth, Emily and Ben; Amy Getman, Elizabeth Getman, Jennifer Polus and husband Chad and their children, Zachary, Nathaniel and Abigail; Christopher Getman and wife Nikki, Nathaniel Getman and wife Meghan, Michael Getman and wife Kelly and Kevin Getman and wife Marla; two cousins: Ann M. Urtz and Margaret Bocchino. She was predeceased by her brother Ronald McCall and by her sister and brother in law: Elizabeth McCall Urtz and Vincent Urtz. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial which will commence at 10 am on Thursday, July 7, 2005 from the Church of Annunciation, West. St., Ilion with the Rev. Anthony Barratt, pastor, officiating. Procession will follow to Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frankfort where interment will be held. There are no calling hours. In lieu of floral tributes, kindly consider contributions to the Ilion Public Library or to St. Jude's Hospital. Special thanks to Debora Lee, Sultana Razia, MD., the wonderful staffs at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare (6th floor) especially Romeo and Valley Health Services, especially mentioning Carolyn Dove. Funeral arrangements were prearranged and are under the direction of the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main St., between Ilion and Frankfort.
