Emily Muscarello, 83 of 801 County Highway 119, St. Johnsville, passed away on Saturday May 21, 2005 at her home. She was born June 27, 1921 in Kaiserslautern, Germany the daughter of the late Emil & Maria (Benedum) Kehm and was educated in Germany. Emily moved to Montreal in 1954. Around 1957 she moved to the United States, living in New York briefly. Her sister and family had moved from Germany to Elizabeth, NJ in 1956. Settling in Elizabeth, NJ, Emily met John Muscarello and married him in 1959. John and Emily bought their first home in Clark, NJ. In 1983 they moved to Merritt Island, Florida living there until July of 2004, then moving to St. Johnsville where they resided with their nephew and wife Wolfgang and Maureen Dinges. Emily worked in various factories in New Jersey as a seamstress. She also worked as a bookbinder in New Jersey. After her retirement she worked as a home healthcare aide. Mrs. Muscarello was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, John, a son Harold Wolf of Kaiserslautern, Germany, 2 granddaughters, Regina & Claudia both of Germany and a great granddaughter, and 2 nephews; Wolfgang Dinges and wife Maureen of St. Johnsville, & Rheiner Dinges and wife Dorina of Texas. She was pre-deceased by a sister and brother-in-law; Gertrude and Ludwig Dinges. In keeping with Emily's wishes funeral services and interment at West St. Johnsville Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
