Obituary of Theresa Muto

Mrs. Theresa M. (Giambrone) Muto, age 91, of Mann St., Frankfort, beloved wife of Fred J. Muto, went home to be with the Lord and her departed loved ones unexpectedly on Friday, November 4, 2005, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford, with her loving and caring family by her side. She was born in Frankfort on March 31, 1914, a daughter of the late Crispino and Christine (Micchai) Giambrone and attended Frankfort schools. On November 18, 1939, Theresa was united in marriage to Fred J. Muto at St. Mary's Church in Frankfort. The couple has shared a faithful and devoted commitment to one another and to their family for 65 years. A member of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, Frankfort, Theresa was a spiritual woman. Worship played a significant and guiding role in her life: whether she was engaged in quiet and private prayer, or whether she was attending Mass, it was the utmost importance to her to praise the Lord and His Word. Theresa was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In caring for her family, she provided loving support and thoughtful guidance. Possessing a good-natured manner, she always greeted everyone with open arms that came into her home. She possessed an energetic approach to her obligations and put forth her best efforts into daily living and was rewarded with the best that each day had to offer. Mrs. Muto was last employed with General Electric of Utica and was at one time employed by Salada Tea. She is survived by her loving husband, Fred J. Muto at home, her three children, Frank Muto and his wife Denise of Las Vegas, NV, Christopher Muto, Sr. and his companion Civita Allard of Utica, and Mary Rose Robilotta of Orlando, FL; a close sister, Catherine "Katie" Giambrone of Frankfort; five cherished grandchildren, Jimmy Muto and Christina Muto, Melissa O'Brien and her husband, Terry, Janeen Muto, Christopher Muto, Jr., Joseph Muto, Tracey Robilotta, and Dominic Robilotta; three great-grandchildren, Alexis and John O'Brien and Camren Davis; three sisters-in-law: Gloria Rachubka of Utica, Dolores Muto of Utica, and Tina Cuchiarale of Utica; a brother in law: Vincent Fiore of Utica, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. Mrs. Muto was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Florence Vilardi, Mary Riscica, Rose Scalise, Josephine Schilingo, and Nina Giambrone and her beloved brothers, Perry Giambrone and Charles Giambrone. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Monday, November 7, 2005 from 4-7 at the Enea Family Funeral Home, Main St. between Frankfort and Ilion. Mrs. Muto's funeral will begin at 12:15 on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 1 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Apostle''s Church in Frankfort, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John Yanas, Jr., pastor. Committal prayers will be held in All Souls Chapel, Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Theresa will then be laid to rest in the family plot. The family would like to give their sincere thanks to Dr. John and the Emergency Room Staff at St. Luke's Healthcare for their kindness and compassion in caring for Mrs. Muto. Also a heartfelt thanks to the members of the Ilion and Frankfort Fire Department and the Frankfort Police Department for their timely response on Friday and for their professionalism.
