Obituary of Anna Paul

Mrs. Anna G. Paul, 88, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away on Sunday evening, March 20, 2005 in Little Falls Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1916 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Andrew and Katherine (Usiak) Gauder and was a graduate of Little Falls High School, "Class of 1934". She furthered her education, graduating from the Utica School of Commerce. On May 23, 1936, Anna was united in marriage with Harry F. Paul in the St. Mary's Church Rectory. Prior to Mr. Paul's passing in February of 1995, the couple enjoyed a blessed union of 58 years. Her last professional employment was with the law offices of Robert Livingston and Edwin L. Marion. She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls and the Church Women's Guild. She was a former member of the Little Falls Lady Elk's and served on the WCA Board. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and was an avid bridge player. Survivors include a daughter Deborah P. Shepardson and husband Jerry of Chatham, NY, three grandchildren, H. Paul Shepardson and wife Colleen of Delmar, Anita S. Huey and husband Brian of Topsham, Maine and J. Andrew Shepardson of Medford, MA.; five great grandchildren: Ryan, Delaney and Cameron Shepardson and Kaylin and Molly Huey and a cousin; Elizabeth Harvey of Little Falls. Also surviving are Anna's wonderful caregiver's, Karen Wilson and Jessica Battisti who offered her tender love and care. There will be no visitation. A celebration of life with a Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11 am on Monday morning, March 28, 2005 from Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Albany Street, Little Falls, with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, rector, officiating. Relatives and friends are respectfully to invited to attend. Kindly consider memorial contributions to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church or to the Little Falls Public Library, envelopes may be obtained at the church on Monday morning. Interment will be held in Higgins Bay Cemetery when spring weather arrives. The family is being served by the Enea Family Funeral Home, Little Falls.
