Angeline T. ?Angie? Piacente, 89 a former Herkimer resident, passed away on Sunday January 16, 2005 at the Masonic Home, Utica, NY. She was born September 12, 1915, in Italy the daughter of the late Martin & Angelina (Pavia) Rizzi. Angie was educated in Little Falls schools. Angie was united in marriage to Daniel J. Piacente on August 31, 1940. Mr. Piacente passed away on October 15, 1973. Mrs. Piacente was last employed at the former Melrose Shoe Factory in Little Falls, NY. Angie was a member of the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph in Herkimer. Survivors include her son Frank Piacente of Herkimer, a granddaughter Danielle Paicente of Utica, 2 sisters-in-law, Catherine Shuhart of Herkimer, & Phoebee Sanganetti of Herkimer, and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother Joseph Rizzi and 3 sisters, Philomena DeLuccio, Rose Rizzi & Mary Lamanna. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 20, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Anthony Ligato, pastor. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. In keeping with Angie?s wishes there are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holleran ? Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, NY. All memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Sts. Anthony & Joseph. Envelopes will be available at the church.
