Dorothy "Dottie" Lynn Pope-Filmer, 43, a former Herkimer resident, was laid to rest on Wednesday July 20, 2005 after suffering from lung cancer for 2 years. She was born September 12, 1961 in Herkimer the daughter of Harry & Alice Brown and was raised by her Uncle Lauren and Aunt Claire Proper of Charleston, NY since the age of nine. At one time she was married to Warren W. Filmer, Sr. In 1992 she meet her soulmate Timothy W. Pope, Sr. Dottie leaves behind her 3 children from her marriage, Kenneth Filmer, of Tampa, Florida, Jeffrey Filmer and wife Debbie and their two children, Zachary & Alyssa; Warren filmer and his wife Naomi and their child, Jasmine; her Fiancee Timothy W. Pope all of New York. She also leaves behind two good friends Tom & Doreen Baldock and their two children Ryan & Sabrina, and many friends and family in Alabama, New York and South Carolina. Funeral services will be held on Friday July 22, 2005 at 1:00 pm from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 w. Monroe St., Little Falls, NY with Reverend Jon Noble, officiating. Burial will be in Curtis Cemetery in Salisbury, NY. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday July 22, 2005 from 11:00 am until the time of the services.
