Helen Singer, 92 a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Monday January 17, 2005 at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home. She was born February 20, 1912 in St. Johnsville the daughter of the late Rudolph & Sarah ( VanSlyke) Hill. Helen was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School and was class Valedictorian. She was married to Morris Singer in 1947 in St. Johnsville. Mr. Singer passed away on December 27, 2002. Mrs. Singer was last employed at Niagara Mohawk. Helen was a member of the Grace Congregational United Church of Christ in St. Johnsville. Survivors include a nephew; Ross Kiefling of St. Johnsville a great nephew; Brian Kielfing of Phoenix, Arizona and a special friends; Peg & John Davis of St. Johnsville and Bernice & Dr. Robert Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, and several cousins. She was pre-deceased by a sister; Marion Kiefling. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 20, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Smith ? Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY, with Reverend Wayne Cole, pastor of the Grace Congregational United Church of Christ officiating. Spring interment will be in West St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday January 20, 2005 from 1 pm until the time of the services.
