Rena R. (Burdick) Wilson, age 92, formerly of 36 W. North St., Ilion, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion, where she had been a resident. She was born on December 18, 1912 in the Town of Winfield, NY, the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Gage) Burdick. At one time, she was married to Ray Brewer who died in October 1942. She later married Albert L. Wilson on August 29, 1958 in Herkimer. He died on August 4, 1971. Survivors include her daughter, Evelyn Pomeroy and her companion, Ron Reckeweg of Mohawk; two stepdaughters, Mary Prior and her husband, Carlton of Litchfield, and Frances Griffiths of West Winfield; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Glenn Burdick and her sister, June Burdick of West Winfield; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Virginia Brown; son-in-law, Leroy Pomeroy; several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005, at the Applegate & Day Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
