Violet E. Battisti, 85 a long time St. Johnsville resident, passed away on Wednesday November 17, 2004 at Albany Medical Center. She was born February 25, 1919 in Stratford the daughter of the late Wilfred (Fred) and Lillian (Durrin) Miller, and was educated in Stratford schools. Violet was married to Joseph W. Battisti who preceded her in death. Mrs. Battisti was once employed at Beardslee Manor and was a member of St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville. Survivors include 5 sons, Joseph Battisti and wife Connie of Fort Plain, Peter Battisti and wife Jane of St. Johnsville, Anthony Battisti and wife Patricia of Mohawk, Paul Battisti and wife Jeanne of St. Johnsville, and Dennis Battisti and Pia Kadtke of Canajoharie; a sister, Gladys Dykeman of Little Falls; many grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by an infant daughter and a daughter and son-in-law, Rose and John Shostek. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 22, 2004 at 11:00 am from the Smith ? Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY with Sister Johanne McCarthy, of St. Patrick?s Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Johnsville, Cemetery.
