Phyllis D. Beischer, 73 of 26 Washington St. St. Johnsville, passed away on Monday September 6, 2004 at Albany Medical Center. She was born March 20, 1931 in St. Johnsville the daughter of the late Frank A. & Laura M. (Wick) Nellis. Phyllis was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School, Class of 1949 and was a life long resident of St. Johnsville. Her marriage to William (Bill) Beischer took place on November 26, 1955 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Crumy Creek, NY. Mrs. Beischer was of the Protestant Faith. With family as her foremost priority, Phyllis Proved herself as a loving and caring wife, sister and aunt. She enjoyed cooking meals for her family and friends, and had a special place in her heart for animals. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, William (Bill), 2 sisters; Shirley T. Kilts of Mount Dora, Florida, & Donna Swartz and husband George of St. Johnsville, and many nieces & nephews, and in-laws, Irene Sitterly of Canandaigua, Isabel Ponce of Albany, Edwin Beischer of St. Johnsville and DeEtta Nellis of St. Johnsville. She was pre-deceased by 3 brothers; Donald, Carlton & Graham Nellis, and 2 sisters; Doris Nellis & Muriel Miller. A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 11, 2004 at 11:00 am at St. Johnsville Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Cole, Paster of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, Officiating. Arrangements are by the Smith ? Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. All memorial contributions may be made to S.A.V.A.C or to Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter.
