Obituary of Annette Carpenter
Annette Marie Carpenter, 55, of 5692 Austin Rd., Utica, entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2004 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 11, 1949 in Little Falls, a daughter of John J. Vedovati who resides in Herkimer and the late Angelina (Ciociola) Vedovati. Annette received her education in Little Falls schools. On March 7, 1970, she was united in marriage with Virgil "Virge" Carpenter in St. Joseph's Church, Little Falls. A devoted union of 33 years that was hallmarked by the birth of their daughter, Christine. She was an active member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, North Utica. Annette was a woman who committed all her energy and devotion to her family and her home: she believed that taking care of her loved ones was her primary responsibility in life, one which she welcomed and accepted. It was from her family that she derived her greatest joy and most gratifying satisfaction. A meticulous housekeeper, she made her home a comfortable and hospitable place attending to even the smallest details of life with the same love and patience that typified her personal values and attitudes. She will be sadly missed as a wonderful companion and good friend. She enjoyed collecting items in her Hummel Collection and truly enjoyed the time she spent with her cats. Survivors include her husband, Virge of Utica, a beloved daughter Christine Carpenter of Utica, her father John J. Vedovati of Herkimer, many aunts, uncles, inlaws and several cousins and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Heintz Funeral Home, Herkimer Rd., North Utica on Friday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Her funeral will commence at 9:30 am on Saturday morning, Feb. 28, 2004 from the Heintz Funeral Home, where prayer will be offered and at 10:30 am from St. Mark's Catholic Church, North Utica where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. She will be laid to rest, this spring, in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. Virge and Chrissy would like to thank all of their many wonderful friends and relatives for their outpouring of support during this difficult time. They are truly grateful to the numerous people who have been of great assistance and comfort, offering them loving compassion and care along with support and peace of mind.
