Obituary of Clara Chuck

Mrs. Clara A. Chuck, age 83, of Little Falls, passed away on Saturday morning, November 13, 2004. Her passing occurred in Faxton/ St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. Clara was born in Forest City, PA on February 18, 1921, a daughter of the late John and Jennie (Koghovsek) Shamro and received her education in Forest City schools. She was united in marriage with August J. Chuck on November 29, 1939 in St. Joseph's Church, Forest City, PA. Prior to Mr. Chuck's passing, the couple enjoyed a blessed, devoted and loving union of 57 years. Her last professional employment was with P & K Dress Company and was employed by Allegro Shoe Company and Little Falls Automotive Fibers at one time. Clara was a communicant of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls. She was a member of the Chicken Footers, AARP, Rock City Senior Citizens and the Putt Putt Snowmobile Club. She leaves three beloved daughters: Mary Ann VanGorder and husband Luke of Little Falls, Barbara Klock and husband Paul of Little Falls, and Edith (Tek) Wastowicz and husband Walter of Mohawk; three brothers, Stanley Shamro of Detroit, MI, Andrew Shamro and wife Theresa of Uniondale, PA and Albert Shamro and wife RoseMary of Clearwater, FL, four sisters, Eva Skuba of Forest City, PA, Florence Rohacek and husband Milan of Little Falls, Tillie Burshnic of Bridgewater, NJ and Rose Akers and husband Joseph of Richmond, VA, ; her beloved grandchildren: Sherie and Mike Lyon, Bethany, Shane and Evan Lyon, Diane and Jamie Hicks, Scott Nagele, Thomas, Tiffany and Tasha Hicks, Luke VanGorder, III, Allen VanGorder, Donna and Joe Micozzi, Jack and Marisa Micozzi, Denise and Paul Murphy, Gus and Ellie Murphy, Jim Douglas, Tyler and Olivia Douglas, Darlene and Joe Budzich, Gordon and Jackie MacCammon, Gordie and Hunter MacCammon, David and Dina MacCammon, Jordan and Alexis MacCammon and Martin MacCammon. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws. She was predeceased by a sister, Fanny, six brothers, John, Joe, Frank, Tom, Edward and Ludwig and a beloved granddaughter, Dawn Douglas. The highlight, focus and foremost concern of Clara's life was taking care of her family. In her leisure time, she especially enjoyed riding her snowmobile. A woman of strong Slovenian heritage, she always proud of her background. The family will receive relatives and friends in the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls on Monday (today), Nov. 15, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. Clara's funeral will commence at 10:15 am on Tuesday, Nov. 16, from the chapel of the funeral home where a prayer service will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am from Holy Family Parish, corner of E. Main and John Streets, Little Falls with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, pastor, officiating. Procession will follow to Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills where she will be laid to rest.
